Hi, A notice for everyone, Freshers' Fair this year is on Tuesday 6th October (next Tuesday). Please try and come and support us at it, the more the merrier! All you need to do is turn up and chat to the new guys looking around (and tell them how great we are). We will also need people to play music/do live shows to create as much attention for us as possible. If you want to do a slot then get in contact and I'll start to make a list - times will go on first come first served and will be variable due to popularity. Infact, if you are pretty mean behind the decks and want to play out live then we seriously need you! We've got a lot of events coming up in the near future and we need DJs to play. Allinson has been away and has a lot to say.

Sup lad and laddets. What with this indian summer we've been having, i've been getting a serious hankering for a game or 10 of rounders followed a wee bit of british bulldog. Perhaps even some cricket to appeal to the bangladeshi promo whores amongst us. Can we work this into our freshers events early (pre roof party) on with some beer, get some social stuff before getting all media on the freshers asses. Also is anyone watching lotr 2? How sick is the part where legolas is standing on the hill popping arrows in serious warg ass and the rohirim ride up behind him? I digress. Also in closure can i break the unwritten rule and return to a previous conversation, i think 500 shirts is a bare neccesity because we need to think big in terms of promotion. We're not trying to get everyone passed out stall at freshers to become djs, we're trying to build an audience and that means we need as many people possible to know of us, and a shirt is in my mind the best way to do it. As for design, can I suggest that this be a place where we keep teh croc? Whatever the majority decision is by 12 noon on monday will be what i send to t-shirt man. Much love. Mx (p.s. Station Key - sorry but another rant...

Hi, Don't know if anyone heard, but we sat in on Greg James' radio show this afternoon. It was great fun and we even managed to shoe horn the good name of IC Radio in a few. Big thanks to Roushan. Unfortunately there is a however... When we came back we found that the key had been signed out and not returned. The culprit this time (according to the sign out sheet) was Mr R.Samarasinghe, please can you bring it in tomorrow morning asap. I'm sorry to name names, but this really does screw everyone else over. Sorry to be so negative before term has even started. Dan

IC Radio at Radio 1

Hello! Apologies for the very short notice about this and apologies that the majority of you will not be able to take part. Radio 1 have invited FOUR people from IC Radio to go and sit in on Greg James' radio show between 12pm - 4pm tomorrow afternoon (Friday) at Radio 1 HQ on Gt Portland St. Simple as this: first three people to declare an interest can come. YOU MAY BE EXPECTED TO SPEAK ON AIR - this is a new feature where he does one show a month in front of a live audience so there is a chance that you may speak on air. YOU HAVE TO BRING ALONG A CD WITH YOUR FAVE SONG OF ALL TIME AND ONE ITEM WHICH YOU FEEL BEST SUMMARISES YOU. No idea why, one can only assume its part of an on air feature. First three people to get in touch with me are in, good luck. Roushan

Headphones in the live studio

Hi all, Hope you've had a good summer and are looking forward to coming back to uni. Freshers preparations are well under way and it's looking like this year is going to be the best ever! However, We've just done an interview in the live studio and came in to find that someone had snapped off a headphone jack in the socket on the presenter's side of the desk. Luckily we came in 30mins early and so I could do a bit of key-hole DIY to get the bit out. The worst bit is that this has also ruined a brand new pair of headphones, and they weren't cheap. There is a lot of expensive equipment in our studios which we need all our members to take care with. I can't understand how someone could snap a jack off in the socket, they're not exactly flimsy..... Anyway, we can't really track down who did this, and accidents do happen, but please PLEASE tell us if something similar happens again. That way we can fix it nice and early. Also if it is apparent that people are misusing our equipment and facilities you will have your show cancelled and be banned from using our studios in the future. Thanks (a very pissed off) Dan.
