Hi Quick reminder, if you want to come to the awards then you need to bring a cheque for £26 to radio tomorrow lunchtime (from 12). Make it payable to "Imperial College Union". (not radio as I previously stated) The awards ceremony will be held at IndigO2 on the 24th November. We have decided that we will use a certain amount of money to subsidise tickets, but of course this will be on a first come first served basis and limited. We will be trying to get full dinner tickets, but these are selling out fast apparently. I'm sorry for the short notice but we really need to get moving on this, plus it's a good excuse for you to come down and see our 2nd session of the year MASTER SHORTIE!!!! Cheers Dan

IC RADIO

Hi guys, Hope the start of term was good for everyone. If you haven't got involved with radio yet this year then now is the time to do so! SHOWS Get in contact with Andy (agr06(a)ic.ac.uk) if you still to sort out some training to do a show, or if you want to get yourself scheduled in. The schedule will start filling up in the next few weeks so don't leave it to late if you want a regular show. T-SHIRTS We recently ordered a load of promotional t-shirts for the station. Feel free to come and take one and wear it around, we plan to give them out free at events and around campus to try and raise student awareness of what we do. DJING I'm currently putting together a list of djs at IC RADIO who like to play out at events. If you are interested in playing under the IC RADIO name then get in touch. MEMBERSHIP We're going to be having an overhaul of the key-list in the next few weeks as there's quite a few names on it which aren't relevant anymore. Please make sure that you go online and buy your membership - http://www.imperialcollegeunion.org/radio-211/category.html - it's only £8 and we get so much out of it. Plus we'll be using the list of members as a basis to create the new key-list. Finally, I need some help for tonight. We're helping out the C&G with their ball tonight in putting on a little stage. I've got some Jazz and Rock bands to play but we could really do with someone to DJ in between. You will get free entry to the events after (NYPC performing in DBs etc) and it should be some experience for djing out. If you're interested get in touch asap! Change in Nomination Party Times

Please note below, the change in times for tonight's nomination party @ Intermission (Westminster's SU) To cater for these changes we will now meet in radio at 6.45pm and leave immediately, so that we're in time for the nomination announcement. See you there, Roushan >From the SRA organisers: 6pm Start arriving 6:30pm Small introduction speech, and Regional Round Up (Eg 1 representative from each station says what their station has been up to in the last year, highlights) small speech about the SRA, regional officer etc 6.45 - 7:30 Radio Station Bingo - Your Chance to Network 7:30 - 8:00 Nominations to be read out 8:00pm Party till we throw up with Smoke DJ's 11pm close (or move on elsewhere for those that want to) IF you have been confused because the time of the event has changed a few times, i am very sorry.. Dont worry if you miss the radio bingo or introductions, get there when you can AND if enough people want to we can have another go of radio bingo after the nominations have been announced.

Nominations Party/ Live Music

Hello all! Right, tomorrow night is the first big event of the student radio year - its the nomination party for the Student Radio Awards. The formal details are below this email, but in short its at Westminister Union from 7.30pm. I'm on air till 7pm tomorrow and will be meeting a few people in Beit Quad at 7pm to jump on the tube and head down there as a group - anyone is welcome to join us. Message me so I know to expect you! ON ANOTHER NOTE - tomorrow we have our 1st session, in the form of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool playing in our Live Room. They are a huge up and coming band who have been playlisted on Radio 1 and BBc 6 Music. Have a listen if you like and come down for 12.15pm tomorrow if you fancy seeing them play in session! Obviously this will be ahead of the main nomination announcements with the idea being it'll offer great exposure for the awards on National Radio and signposting 6Music's major involvement in the awards.
