Installation Failing Due to LCG Bundle
Hello DIRAC users, I am trying to install the client using the following settings recommended by my experiment ./dirac-install -r v6r19p2 -g v13r0 And I run into a error because of the LCG bundle failed to download. The specific tarball it says it needs doesn't exist and I confirmed it does not exist when I check the DIRAC host pages. I attached what I got running the installation. I would try to patch the scripts myself, but I cannot easily find the problematic lines using grep. In the meantime, I disabled the bundle installation. Can I get some help how to make the bundle install work? Thanks, Matt
Hi Matt, That's odd, because the versions it should be asking for are Externals-client-v6r6p3-Linux_x86_64_glibc-2.12-python27.tar.gz and DIRAC-lcg-v13r0-Linux_x86_64_glibc-2.12-python27.tar.gz on SL6 variants and *glibc-2.17* on SL7. If you are not on eitehr SL6 or Sl7 it will probably not work, as it's not maintained for anything else. Before I go and try and hunt down what's going on, could you please try it (from a clean shell) with the version we (as the maintainers) currently recommend[*], which are: ./dirac-install -r v6r19p10 -i 27 -g v13r0 [*] We put them here, as this is the only place we have access to (it's not ideal): https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Quick_Guide_to_Dirac Cheers, Daniela On 7 April 2018 at 08:08, Matt Hogan <hoganman@rams.colostate.edu> wrote:

Hi Daniela, Sorry I should of mentioned that I was trying to do this on my Ubuntu laptop. I was able to install DIRAC on a Centos 6 data server, so I know it works. I see reading the documentation more closely that it is only supported by SL6 and SL7. I think I will use a Centos 6 and/or SL6 virtual machine for the bundle support on my laptop. Thanks!
