Hi Andrew, you got the wrong list here. Have you talked to your local computing people about this ? In your case that would be Steve Jones and John Bland, I guess. As for HPC, the UK has a dedicated HPC "umbrella organization" (for the lack of a better term), it's called DiRAC (note the lower case 'i', no relation to this DIRAC). If you (as in "an experiment", not you personally) need HPC resources, you best bet is to go through IRIS (www.iris.ac.uk). It should be noted that that sticking HTC ('grid') workflows on HPC resources is terribly inefficient, ask anyone who has ever been forced to use NERSC for this. I have been asked by a colleague in Swizerland about futher plans for UK Teir-2s as they are discussing asspects of LHC grid computing in Swizerland. Such as "will they go multi-architectural...", how about their views
on HPCs vs standard clusters? Are there any public documents about this or who would be the best person for the to talk to about this?
