Hi

I have reinstalled the UI and did the lines

dirac-proxy-init -x
dirac-configure -F -S GridPP -C dips://dirac01.grid.hep.ph.ic.ac.uk:9135/Configuration/Server -I
dirac-proxy-init -g mu3e.org_user -M
and submitted the job from https://dirac.readthedocs.io/en/latest/UserGuide/GettingStarted/UserJobs/DiracAPI/ .

However this was about 24 hours ago and its still waiting?

This is the job

Submission Result:  {'requireProxyUpload': False, 'OK': True, 'rpcStub': (('WorkloadManagement/JobManager', {'delegatedDN': None, 'timeout': 600, 'skipCACheck': False, 'keepAliveLapse': 150, 'delegatedGroup': None}), 'submitJob', ('[ \n    Origin = DIRAC;\n    Executable = "$DIRACROOT/scripts/dirac-jobexec";\n    StdError = std.err;\n    LogLevel = info;\n    InputSandbox = \n        {\n            "/bin/hostname",\n            "SB:GridPPSandboxSE|/SandBox/a/andrew.groves.mu3e.org_user/f8b/685/f8b685bc216003cf48ee90b7e0ab68fe.tar.bz2"\n        };\n    CPUTime = 500;\n    JobName = API;\n    Priority = 1;\n    OutputSandbox = \n        {\n            Script1_CodeOutput.log,\n            Script2_hostname.log,\n            Script3_CodeOutput.log,\n            std.err,\n            std.out\n        };\n    Arguments = "jobDescription.xml -o LogLevel=info";\n    JobGroup = mu3e.org;\n    MaxCPUTime = 500;\n    StdOutput = std.out;\n    JobType = User;\n]',)), 'Value': 26170180, 'JobID': 26170180}

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

This is just to let you know that mu3e.org has now been installed on the GridPP DIRAC server. You would have to reinstall your UI though as there is no way to force an update for a new VO on an existing UI.
mu3e.org has been given compute access at Lancaster (more sites will follow), but unfortunately no storage space has been enabled yet (at least none that I can see in DIRAC), You will have to liaise with the Liverpool admins on that one.
In the meantime, could you check that a hello world type job succeeds at Lancaster (and that you can see your software etc) ?

Regards,
Daniela

Hi Andrew,

The missing step was to tell the GridPP DIRAC maintainers (i.e. this list) that you would like to have the mu3e VO enabled on DIRAC :-)
I'll do it this afternoon and let you know when it's done.

Regards,
Daniela

Hi

I am trying to connect to the mu3e.org VO by using the commands

dirac-proxy-init -x
dirac-configure -F -S GridPP -C dips://dirac01.grid.hep.ph.ic.ac.uk:9135/Configuration/Server -I
dirac-proxy-init -g mu3e.org_user -M

However it says after the last command it says
Requested group mu3e.org_user is not valid for DN /C=UK/O=eScience/OU=Liverpool/L=CSD/CN=andrew groves
However when I check the website it says I am registered as a user for this VO.
I have also tried this command

dirac-proxy-init -g mu3e.org_user -M
however I get the same error.

Am I missing something or have we missed something with the VO setup. I did try to get the newest version of the dirac ui before these lines as well

Thanks
Andrew
