Please, can you provide answers to Daniela's questions ?

The problem signaled with gfal I don't have it, indeed it's probably a function of environment variables.

Still, the uploading issue persists even without this gfal problem, but let's take one at a time.

This looks like the command is picking up the wrong version of gfal.

Is this a recently installed UI ?

I recently tried to upload a file to QMUL but it failed, please see below:

A colleague from MoEDAL tells me that he also tried to upload a bunch of files on QMUL two weeks ago, but with the same negative result.
