Dear Junho,

The Firedrake install failed. The issue appears to be that your python was built without ssl. This breaks installing various packages that we depend on. You need to talk to your local sysadmins about why your Python ssl is broken. If they can’t fix this for you, it is fairly straightforward to build python from source and use that.

David

Subject: [firedrake] installation problem

    Dear firedrake manager,

I failed to install the firedrake even though I reinstalled python latest and firedrake.

python3 and firedrake seem to run well. But when I ran "the Simple Helmholtz equation" on introductory tutorials, "NameError: name 'UnitSquareMesh' is not defined" appeared.

   Would you help me?

Thank you for the help you can provide.

    Regards,
