Hi all,

Thank you so much; it is working on my pc.

I have been going through the tutorials. However, I got an error in writing the ic for the Burgers equation:

>>> ic = project(Expression(["sin(pi*x[0])", 0]), V)

Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>

  File "/Users/master/firedrake/lib/python2.7/site-packages/firedrake/projection.py", line 50, in project

    % type(V))

RuntimeError: Can only project into functions and function spaces, not <class 'firedrake.ufl_expr.Argument'>

How can I fix this?

Hmph, petsc4py has linked against the temporary location of libpetsc
(which appeared via pip presumably), rather than its final location.

It is not immediately obvious to me why this would be the case.  I do
not think it is likely anything wrong with your build setup though.
