I did find the options in my firedrake-update file.

I removed PYTHONPATH and redid firedrake-install and that seemed to do the trick.

The results from make alltest are pretty good:

 3479 passed, 51 skipped, 12 xfailed, 1 xpassed in 1787.29 seconds
