[FILM-Users 00148] new OMERO tools
Dear microscopists, the OMERO database is getting more and more useful features. Especially the SCRIPTS are providing quite useful tools (luckily for us, Mark Woodbridge in BSS is keeping them up to date and even tweaking them if needed on our installation - thanks). Some of the latest additions are: # BATCH IMAGE EXPORT: does exactly this, but with the options of cropping time series or stacks, producing maximum projections or re-mixing channels automatically for a whole collection of images # RESTORE COLOURS: re-assigns the channel colours based on the information in the original data file; by default, OMERO assigns the 'natural' colour corresponding to the wavelength, but that isn't helpful e.g. if two fluorophores have the same emission (but different excitation), or for brightfield image; this tool solves the problem for Leica *.lif and Zeiss *.lsm files - for single files or automatically for a whole dataset # DEFINIENS EXPORT: exports images in OME-TIFF format compatible with the Definiens software, including 3D and time series # FIGURE scripts (various): make thumbnails, channel-split images or other figures, as well as movies, for publication You will find the scripts in the top-right corner of the user interface (green arrow icon). If you are interested, but not an OMERO user yet, you'll find more information on the FILM website under LINKS > SOFTWARE: < http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/portal/page/portallive/imagingfacility/links/imag...
