[FILM-Users 00901] microscopy experiments with postdoc help
Any postdoc who can help Nita? The deadline for the funding application is soon, but the research itself will occur after things get running again (if she gets awarded, which isn't announced until the end of April) - Andreas ---------- Hi, I am a postdoc in the DoLS, and I am applying for a small fund from DoLS to generate some preliminary data for my independent project. One of the requirements of the funding is that I have a plan to exchange or gain skills from another postdoc in DoLS. It wouldn't take much of your time, you would likely advise me on a few experiments and perhaps make some suggestions as I analyze my data. My goal is to assess cell invasion of quantum-dot labeled protein and also quantify apoptosis using a kit that fluorescently labels apoptotic cells. I'll be using a monolayer of mammalian cells, and am thinking of using widefield microscopy. Please contact me directly via email (nita.shah@imperial.ac.uk<mailto:nita.shah@imperial.ac.uk>) if you'd be interesting in helping me out, preferably by Friday this week, since the deadline is fast approaching. Thank you, -Nita
