[FILM-Users 01112] LS1 laser cooling system
Dear users, This afternoon we found that the cooling system for LS1, circled in yellow in the attached photograph, had been turned off. It should be left on to ensure the lasers are cooled to 18oC and never turned off, as this can cause laser over-heating and damage to the lasers and microscope. Please DO NOT TURN IT OFF when shutting down the system. Many thanks for your cooperation. If you are not sure how to turn off the system, please look at the instructions in the folder on the desk or ask a member of FILM.
