I hope you will be interested in/able to attend the seminar and that you will be happy to forward this message to students and researchers in your groups and departments. This is a very rare and exciting opportunity to meet the co-funder and director of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, Harvard Department of Stem Cell Biology and Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Regenerative Medicine (and the list of his titles continues long). David Scadden has been studying haematopoietic stem cells for many years and is particularly known in the stem cell field for providing the first evidence of the nature of the haematopoietic stem cell niche in 2003. Since then he has led research focusing on cell-intrinsic and cell-extrinsic regulation of haematopoietic stem cell function both in health and disease. Some of his most recent work, which is the subject of his talk, explores how mutant niches can support clonal evolution of cancer. Drinks will be available right after the seminar and will provide the opportunity to meet with David face to face. I hope you can join! Best wishes Cristina Poster: <https://workspace.imperial.ac.uk/imagingfacility/Public/seminar-1.pdf> Campus map: <https://workspace.imperial.ac.uk/campusinfo/public/sthkencampus.pdf>
