[FILM-Users 00234] New Huygens deconvolution software
Dear microscopists, as part of the equipment purchase for the L-Block (NHLI) in Hammersmith, we have also got a licence for the powerful deconvolution software SVI Huygens, including modules for CONFOCAL DECONVOLUTION and MULTIPHOTON DECONVOLUTION. Advantages over our existing Autoquant deconvolution: # additional modules for confocal and multiphoton deconvolution # more control over the deconvolution settings # centralised installation, accessible from everywhere in the college # better batch processing (including line command option) The software is installed on a server of the Bioinformatics Support Service, so it can be used from anywhere in the college. At the moment we have 2 concurrent user licences, so 2 people can use the software in parallel at any time. Prioritisation is via the FILM HUYGENS booking page on Sharepoint. To get access, please email to set up your access and give you all required information. Charging is at our normal software charging rate, see FILM website / GUIDELINES / CHARGES for the latest rates (according to automated usage logs). If you want to use the software, please get in touch. Good imaging, Martin PS: thanks all of you who came along and contributed to the success of the Microscopy Day, it's been a very productive event, with lots of discussions, and the presentations of the Matchmaker session and posters were very interesting -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Martin Spitaler, PhD* *FILM - Facility for Imaging by Light Microscopy* - Facility Manager - Sir Alexander Fleming Building, desk 401 Imperial College London / South Kensington Exhibition Road London SW7 2AZ UK Tel. +44-(0)20-759-42023 E-mail m.spitaler@imperial.ac.uk <mailto:m.spitaler@imperial.ac.uk> Website: http://imperial.ac.uk/imagingfacility
