Dear microscopists, in principle just a forwarded message - but there are some interesting news about the OMERO image database. This time not so much about the software itself, but about the information on the website and the user community: They have completely redone parts of the website, and there are two major improvements: * a dedicated page for users to share scripts, which allow users to perform tasks on a whole batch of images inside OMERO (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/community/scripts). Some useful examples interesting for lots of FILM users are: o a CORRELATION and COLOCALISATION ANALYSER o BATCH IMAGE EXPORT o MOVIE FIGURE o ...hopefully many more will follow soon * a revamped user guide page with very good instructions * a dedicated page for Partner Projects (http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/products/partner/), e.g.: o Ian Munro's FLIMFit o u-track (particle tracking) o webtagging (convert file names to meaningful tags) o WND-CHARM (pattern recognition system for images) By the way, once our new server is installed we plan to give every FILM user a start-up account with OMERO, including some storage space.
