[FILM-Users 00002] FILM-Club TODAY: FRET
Dear microscopists, just a reminder that *TODAY* we are going to have another exciting *FILM Club*: First, *Valentina Caorsi* is going to talk about background and applications of *FRET (Fluorescence Resonant Energy Transfer)*. This is very much Valentina's expertise, and she has given FRET courses in her previous job at Genoa before, so she is the perfect person for this. Afterwards, *Sian Harding *will show us how she *combines Scanning Ion Conductance Microscopy (SICM) with FRET* to obtain information about signaling within cells as it happens in real time. As usual, the *FILM Club *will be held *at 13.00 in the SAFB 6th floor meeting area*. See you there, good imaging, Martin -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Martin Spitaler, PhD* *FILM - Facility for Imaging by Light Microscopy* - Facility Manager - Sir Alexander Fleming Building, desk 401 Imperial College London / South Kensington Exhibition Road London SW7 2AZ UK Tel. +44-(0)20-759-42023 E-mail m.spitaler@imperial.ac.uk <mailto:m.spitaler@imperial.ac.uk> Website: http://imperial.ac.uk/imagingfacility
