Dear All,

As you all know the Provosts board this year introduced a policy that requires access to College buildings between midnight and 7am or at any time during College closure periods to be approved by the Head of Department (Prof Edwin Chilvers). See the attached for further information and a link to the application form.

If any staff in your areas require access to carry out work during the College Christmas closure please ensure that they complete an application and send it to me by Friday the 14^th of December at the latest. This is to ensure there is time for Prof Chilvers to sign the applications and for them to be processed by Security. Please remember to clearly indicate in the application why this work must happen during a College closure period.

Applications will not be approved for emergency access only. In the case of emergencies e.g. freezer failures, Security should be contacted on 020 7589 1000 and they will be able to let you into College buildings.
