Dear microscopists, it/'s been a while since our last FILM User Committee meeting, so to make sure everyone is happy and no unresolved problems are building up in the busy facility life, it would be good to meet again soon. First we need to fill up the committee though, several members have left the College. So if you are an active FILM user and would like participate in the organisation of FILM, please let me know, we need a few more people, particularly active users (although participation of PIs is of course always welcome!). The role of the user committee is to make sure the facility is organised as well as possible to everyone's satisfaction. It's not much work, we only meet around once a year (unless something urgent comes up). Issues discussed in the past are the rules set out in the User Guidelines (e.g. booking restrictions or cancellations), data handling (how soon old data can be deleted), best access to microscopes for long experiments etc. Current members are: * Graham Joyce (Brian Robertson lab) * Guy Rutter (PI) * Jennifer Frueh (Robert Krams lab) * Kate Hardy (PI) * Vania Braga (PI) If you could be convinced to participate, please let me know.
