Dear Colleagues,
I’m writing to share a brief update on the current developments within FILM, as well as to highlight an upcoming seminar.
First, I am very pleased to welcome Dilip Shrestha to our team. Dilip brings with him many years of experience in advanced microscopy, including fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) and super-resolution (nanoscopy) techniques such as STED and STORM. At FILM, his focus will be on the development of tissue imaging and multiplex imaging capabilities. He will also be supporting the Leica CellDive Imaging system and epifluorescence systems based at the Hammersmith Campus.
In addition, I’d like to encourage you to attend the next event in the Membrane Receptor Network Seminar Series, hosted by Alejandra Tomas. We are delighted to welcome Professor Stefan W. Hell, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2014), who will be giving a lecture titled:
“Molecule-scale resolution and dynamics in fluorescence microscopy”
Date: Wednesday, 14th May
Time: Arrivals from 2:30pm for a prompt 3:00pm start
Venue: Lecture Theatre 2, Wolfson Education Centre, Hammersmith Hospital Campus, London
This promises to be a truly inspiring session and an excellent opportunity to engage with one of the leading figures in the field of microscopy.
With best wishes, Volodymyr
