Dear Microscopists,
We will keep our microscope charges constant during these challenging times,
at least for now. They are calculated according to full economic costing guidelines to recover costs without making a profit. However due to a change in the way we pay for our MP laser maintenance, we can pass on cost savings and
reduce the re-charges for MP laser usage from £18 to £10/hour. The staff time, which we would e.g. charge when we do imaging for users, increases from £29 to £37 as the Wellcome funding for David’s position ended.
FILM will review the re-charges regularly during the year, so there might be future changes and I will keep you informed. You can always find the up-to date pricing on our Website:
