Title: Convergence of nanoimaging, physics and biology: can engineering lead to a cancer cure?

Abstract: The talk discusses how the development of new superresolution optical technologies and the modeling of complex molecular interactions involved in gene expression from the physics perspective can help decipher the gene expression code, elucidate early events in carcinogenesis, and lead to the discovery of new drugs that prevent the emergence of tumor resistance to anti-cancer therapeutics.
