The Manchester Collaborative Centre for Inflammation Research (MCCIR) is a new collaboration between the University of Manchester, GlaxoSmith Kline and AstraZeneca to establish a world-leading translational centre for research in inflammation.
Imaging Immune Cell Biology Ref: LSX-02094
Up to four Research Associate positions are available for 3 years in Dan Davis’s laboratory within the MCCIR (relocating from Imperial College London). Projects include (i) using super-resolution fluorescence microscopy of human immune cells to understand recognition of disease at the nano-metre scale (ii) studying Natural Killer and T cell immune synapses (iii) probing the mechanisms and functions of membrane nanotubes and (iv) studying new functions for the transfer of proteins and microRNAs between human immune cells.
