Dear FILM Users, I am writing to inform you of upcoming changes in the FILM team. Starting December 1, 2024, our staff will be temporarily reduced to two members: David and myself. Maddy<https://www.linkedin.com/in/madeline-tisi/> will be temporarily leaving us, with plans to return in a year, while Ana<https://www.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/facility-for-imaging-by-light-microscopy/people/> has decided to resign. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank both Ana and Maddy for their invaluable contributions to FILM, especially in supporting users, conducting training sessions, and advancing imaging technologies. Maddy has been instrumental in advanced imaging, e.g. STED imaging, and Ana has made substantial contributions to multiplex imaging. We sincerely wish them both great success in their next steps.
From December 1, the user-to-staff ratio will reach 400% of the recommended level<https://edoc.mdc-berlin.de/id/eprint/15636/1/15636oa.pdf>. To ensure continued support for all users, I encourage those with experience in advanced imaging to consider assisting FILM. Specifically, we are looking for PhD students with an interest in imaging technologies, including epi, confocal, super-resolution, and multiplex imaging.
