Dear microscopists and PIs, see below the information on interesting studentship opportunities, many of them microscopy-related. Good luck, and good imaging, Martin documents: <https://fileexchange.imperial.ac.uk/files/5d8873c10d/attachments.zip> -------- Original Message -------- *From:*Dahm-Vicker, Eugenia M *Sent:* 25 October 2010 15:57 *Subject:* Call for Proposals for joint AstraZeneca-ICB DTC Studentships Dear All, The Institute of Chemical Biology Centre (ICB) Doctoral Training Centre is inviting proposals from academics for 4-year PhD studentships that will commence in the 2011/2012 academic year. These studentships are funded jointly by the ICB and AstraZeneca (AZ). A minimum of 4 AZ-ICB studentships will be funded. These studentships are in addition to the regular annual ICB DTC studentships. The application deadline for this call is *Friday 12^th November 5pm*. Please find the application guidelines and the application form attached. All studentships awarded under this scheme will be part of the ICB DTC and the students will receive the full DTC education and training programme over the four years. The studentships will be jointly funded and assessed by the ICB and AZ. All of the usual criteria of the ICB DTC studentships should be addressed in any application. However, rather than focussing only on protein-protein interactions proposals can address the wider remit of the ICB, namely molecular interactions in biology. The remit of proposals should in addition be aligned with AZ Chemical Biology Research Strategy (details in the guidelines). These AZ-ICB studentships form part of the developing strategic alliance between AZ and ICB. I would be grateful if you could also forward the attached information to anyone else that you think may be interested. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
