Dear all, FYI I am hosting a seminar this Friday that might be of interest to FILM users: Prof Takayuki Nishizaka, Gakushuin University, Tokyo 12:00 pm, Friday 21st July 2017 Link Lecture Theatre, Sir Ernst Chain Building, Imperial College /Development of imaging techniques to reveal single-protein dynamics and their application to microbiology/ Abstract: Our group has developed techniques of optical microscopes that enable to visualize the molecular function of single motor proteins in eukaryote, such as myosin, kinesin and world’s smallest rotary motor F1-ATPase. Recently, we are applying them to motilities of various microorganism and trying to quantify the dynamics of prokaryotic motors in great detail.
