Dear microscopists,
next week's FILM Club we will take the opportunity to introduce the new FILM Crew member Debora Keller to you. As already mentioned, Debora's background is *super-resolution microscopy*, which will exactly be her main focus here in FILM. She has dedicated her PhD (EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland) and postdoc MRC Mill Hill, North London, to the*optimisation of STORM and its application* to investigate centriole formation and SHH signalling /(paper in press: "Unravelling the mechanisms of centriole formation in human cells using advanced microscopy techniques", JCB March 2014)/. She will also give an overview of the specifications of the *new FILM super-resolution microscope* (FILM SR1, a Zeiss Elyra PS1 with SIM and PALM/STORM with dual colour option) to be installed in early April. If you are interested in super-resolution microscopy, don't miss out.
FILM Club Wednesday _26 Feb 2014, 4.30pm, SAFB-122_, South Kensington:* **Debora Keller (FILM): **/"Unravelling the mechanisms of centriole formation in human cells using advanced microscopy techniques"/** * See you there, good imaging,
