Dear microscopists,
it's end of September already, so time to re-start the new FILM
CLUB season. As already traditional, we are kicking off with a
report about recent microscopy meetings, ELMI, EMC etc. I will
report about developments relevant for FILM users, new labels,
sample preparation tricks, new technology coming up. All things
that could make your life easier, understand new technologies
better and stay up to date.
The FILM CLUB will be on Friday 28 September 2012, 13.00 in room
SAFB-120 (South Kensington campus).
For those new to FILM: The FILM CLUB is a monthly meeting of FILM
users (but open to anyone) with the aim of getting to know each
other and all the wonderful things being done on the FILM
microscopes, stimulate exchange of expertise, enable new
collaborations and generally improve the knowledge and
understanding of microscopy techniques. We've had many very
interesting presentations in the past, as you can see on our
website (
http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/portal/page/portallive/imagingfacility/news#filmclub),
and many more will follow this year.
IMPORTANT: We need YOU. All of you who have done all these
exciting experiments in the past, please come forward and present
them to other FILM users, so you valuable experience is not lost!
See you on Friday, good imaging,
Martin
