Dear All Hammersmith Widefield HWF1 Move [cid:image002.jpg@01D7B14E.0CECF420]This morning the Hammersmith widefield microscope was moved from the 3rd floor to room 521 on the 5th floor (north side corridor) to make room for a new confocal microscope. Access !! Important !! if you are planning to use the microscope in the next few weeks please check your card access before your session to make sure your access works. We are trying to update users' access but if your card does not work please contact Steve (s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk<mailto:s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk>) Log in We were hoping that everything would be in place before the move so that the disruption was minimal, however there will be no network connection for about a week. This will mean that your login won't work and your profiles can't be read. As a temporary measure to get around this, everyone will use the same local login (details will be on the microscope). You will still be able to load and re-use your images as before, however, please make sure you save your data to your own folder on the data D or R drive. Also, the scratch transfer drive will not be available. To get around this we have provided two external hard drives to allow you to copy the data (please return them when you have copied your data), or you can bring your own external hard drive if you have one. You will not be able to access PPMS or the internet through the microscope PC so you will have to make booking changes or check the booking through your phone or from your own desktop until the network is sorted CO2 There will also be no CO2 for the time being until we sort out a supply. Start-up There will be new start-up instructions which will be sent out later and there will also be a copy by the microscope. Please follow these carefully. Please let us know if this causes a problem for you Apologies for the disruption Many thanks Steve FILM - Facility for Imaging by Light Microscopy ************************************************************** Steve Rothery FILM Technician Sir Alexander Fleming Building, desk 403 Imperial College London / South Kensington Exhibition Road London SW7 2AZ Tel +44-(0)207 594 9793 And ICTEM, (L-Block) Room 314 Hammersmith Campus Imperial College London Du Cane Road London, W12 0NN Tel. +44-(0)207 594 1669 E-mail s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk<mailto:s.rothery@imperial.ac.uk> Website: http://www.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/facility-for-imaging-by-light-microscopy/ **************************************************************
