Dear FILM-users,
You might have noticed the changes in our PPMS booking system. As the system will be used by additional Imperial facilities, we had to change the internal workings from ‘Projects’ to ‘Accounts’. While these changes happened behind the scenes,
there will be a few changes for the users:
1)
Instead of submitting project requests, you now need to use the
profile tab in PPMS to ‘Change your default account number’ or submit a ‘New account authorization request’ see the attached guide for more information.
2)
It is important that you have a default account, because this will automatically be used when e.g. you exceed your booked time. It might take a while until all the previous default projects are transferred to accounts.
3)
New users will need to select or create a financial account when registering on PPMS, otherwise they cannot register. They need to ask their PI for the correct cost centre and activity code and permission to use this account.
