Dear FILM users, Thank you very much for adhering to our COVID-19 rules and contributing to everyone's safety! Judging from the amount of ethanol which is used you are doing very well in cleaning the microscopes between use. Please continue! This morning I found the computer desk of the CF6 with lots of additional items such as tip boxes, Eppendorfs, microscope slides and coverslips and even discarded pipette tips! We request that everybody cleans up after using the microscope and especially so during the current pandemic! Many thanks! [FILM-Users 00928] !!! Maximum room occupancy in microscope rooms !!!

Dear all, Our microscope rooms have a maximum room occupancy which is clearly signposted at the door and you must adhere to it! They are shared spaces and used by many people, so please be extra careful. We have had reports of several people congregating around one microscope which is not acceptable. Try to use screen sharing on Teams to share results with or get help from your colleagues. If your experiment requires to be carried out by more than one person, please contact FILM staff. The only way to do this is currently: 1. Book another microscope in the room to make sure that the maximum number of people is not exceeded 2. [FILM-Users 00924] SAF analysis workstation - you must log out after your session

Dear all, As we can now only use the analysis workstations remotely, you need to make sure that you properly log out of your session, otherwise the next user will have problems. The SAF analysis workstation is running Windows 10, so the log out is accessible by clicking on the user icon on the bottom left, see the image below. Do not use the little cross in the bar at the top of the window, as this will disconnect your session but keep it alive. This can cause programs to become unavailable for the next user! [cid:image001.jpg@01D6868D.DCDC1590] To obtain remote access to the analysis workstations, please contact FILM staff. The computers need to be booked on PPMS, but are currently free of charge.
