Notice of meeting: "Advancing Applications of Super-Resolution Imaging" 10 November 2014 Charles Darwin House, London, UK ________________________________ A Biochemical Society Hot Topic Meeting in Partnership with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council<http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/home/home.aspx> Advances in microscopy have seen the advent of super resolution imaging, mapping single molecules down to <8 nm resolution compared with conventional light microscopy that achieves only ~250 nm. This Hot Topic Event will provide an interdisciplinary forum covering new technological developments, wider-scale applications, and potential commercialization of super resolution imaging. Topics § Single molecule studies at the plasma membrane § Super resolution imaging in 3D § 'Working small' in vivo § Future directions and applications of super-resolution imaging Proceedings (invited speakers) will be published in Biochemical Society Transactions<http://bst.portlandpress.com/>. Dear FILM users, Just to let you know that I won't be at FILM on Friday (annual leave), so if you have any requests for Friday or the WE, please let me know before Thursday 5pm. I will be back on Monday, and so will Steve (yaay!) but with limited availability on Monday and Tuesday due to a training from Zeiss on the Elyra (SR1 microscope). Tuesday should be better though :) But we will be around if needed urgently! Happy imaging!
