The Info on the Films HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE Director: Robert B. Weide Cast: Simon Pegg, Kirsten Dunst, Jeff Bridges, Megan Fox, Danny Huston, Gillian Anderson Plot: A British writer struggles to fit in at a high-profile magazine in New York. Based on Toby Young's memoir "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" Sidney Young is a disillusioned intellectual who both adores and despises the world of celebrity, fame and glamour. His alternative magazine, Post Modern Review, pokes fun at the media obsessed stars and bucks trends, and so when Young is offered a job at the diametrically opposed conservative New York based Sharps magazine its something of a shock! It seems Sharps editor Clayton Harding is amused by Young's disruption of a post-BAFTA party with a pig posing as Babe. Thus begins Sidney's descent into success. EAGLE EYE Director: D.J. Caruso Cast: Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Billy Bob Thornton, Julianne Moore Plot: Jerry and Rachel are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. KUNG FU PANDA Directors: Mark Osborne and John Stevenson Cast: Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Ian McShane Plot: A CG-animated comedy about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, Po, who must somehow become a Kung Fu Master in order to save the Valley of Peace from a villainous snow leopard, Tai Lung. Set in the legendary world of ancient China, this is the story of Po, our unlikely hero, who enters the rigid world of Kung Fu and turning it upside down. BURN AFTER READING Directors: Ethan Coen and Joel Coen Cast: John Malkovich, George Clooney, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt Plot: A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it. GHOST TOWN Director: David Koepp Cast: Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear, Téa Leoni, Aasif Mandvi, Billy Campbell Plot: Bertram Pincus, is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. TAKEN Director: Pierre Morel Cast: Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace, Xander Berkeley, Holly Valance, Katie Cassidy Plot: A former spy (ex-CIA "Preventer") relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter, who has been kidnapped by human trafficking|sex-traffickers in Paris, France. DEATH RACE Director: Paul W.S. Anderson Cast: Jason Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, Natalie Martinez Plot: Ex-con Jensen Ames is forced by the warden of a notorious prison to compete in our post-industrial world's most popular sport - a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.
