Note that after next week there will be a two week break for DramaSoc and MedDramaSoc's (I don't know why they are separate...) to put on various shows. After that there will be showings on 4th/6th December and then the All Nighter on the 11th of December. It's going to be a good one. More details next week though. Now for a little more about the films. Atonement (15) In the summer of 1935, 13-year-old Briony Tallis observes a flirtation between a servant's son, Robbie, and her older sister, Cecilia, that she childishly misconstrues. Briony's misunderstanding leads to a terrible crime whose consequences follow them through World War II. Taken from imdb.com Atonement is a 2007 British film directed by Joe Wright. It is adapted from Ian McEwan's novel of the same name. It stars James McAvoy and Keira Knightley in the lead roles. The film was produced by Working Title Films and will be distributed worldwide by Universal Studios, with the US release through the Focus Features division. The film was released in the United Kingdom and Ireland on 7 September 2007. The film will be released in North America on 7 December 2007. The film opened the 2007 Venice Film Festival, making director Joe Wright, at the age of 35, the youngest director ever to open the prestigious festival. The film has also opened the 2007 Vancouver International Film Festival. It has already been tipped to be a big Oscar contender. The film has been rated R by the MPAA for disturbing war images, sexuality and nudity and has received a 15 rating from the BBFC. Taken from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. However, it's been a while since they've come back together, which is all about to change. When one of their own, Reuben Tishkoff builds a hotel with known casino owner Willy Banks, the last thing he ever wanted was to get cut out of the deal personally by the loathsome Banks. Banks' attitude even goes so far as to finding the amusement in Tishkoff's misfortune when the double crossing lands Reuben in the hospital because of a heart attack. However, Danny and his crew won't stand for Banks and what he's done to a friend. Uniting with their old enemy Benedict, who himself has a vendetta against Banks, the crew is out to pull off a major plan. One that will unfold on the night Banks' newest hot spot opens up, when the crew is out to bankrupt one of the city's most despised businessmen. But they're not in this for the money, but for the revenge Taken from imdb.com Ocean's Thirteen is a 2007 film directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring an ensemble cast. It is the third (and reportedly final) in the Soderbergh series following the 2004 sequel Ocean's Twelve and the 2001 film Ocean's Eleven, which itself was a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack film Ocean's Eleven. All of the cast members reprised their roles from the previous installments except for Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin joined the cast as their new targets.
