This Week's Films


It's another term, and we've got another batch of great films ready to entertain you! If you're really keen, you can buy this term's season ticket for just £10, which gets you into all the terms weekly showings, and even the Chair's Choice, which continuing the Christopher Nolan theme, is Inception. If you've ever felt like helping to run the cinema (and watching all these great films for free) why not come along to one of our Intro Days this term and see what it's all about. We're running them today (18/1) and next Sunday (25/1), with sessions on the hour from 11am until 4pm. You don't need any existing experience - we'll teach you everything, and if you do get involved, you can commit as much or as little time as you like. Also the Intro Days include a free lunch.

	Inception (2010) Monday 26th January @ 19:00 This term's Chair's Choice continues the Christopher Nolan theme with Inception, in which Cobb, a skilled thief who commits corporate espionage by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets is offered a chance to regain his old life as payment for a task considered to be impossible: "inception", the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious. Directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page.
	The Babadook Tuesday 27th January @ 19:00 Thursday 29th January @ 19:00 A single mother, plagued by the violent death of her husband, battles with her son's fear of a monster lurking in the house, but soon discovers a sinister presence all around her. Directed by Jennifer Kent. Starring Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman, Daniel Henshall.
	The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 Tuesday 3rd February @ 18:30 Thursday 5th February @ 21:15 Katniss Everdeen reluctantly becomes the symbol of a mass rebellion against the autocratic Capitol. Directed by Francis Lawrence. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth.
	Fury Tuesday 3rd February @ 21:00 Thursday 5th February @ 18:30 Last months of World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank called "Fury" and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.
