| Cops & RappersThis Monday, we've got my personal choice of RoboCop (the original one, not the remake or any of the questionable sequels) showing for £3 for everyone, and on Tuesday and Thursday we've got Straight Outta Compton. From dystopian future Detroit, Michigan to 1980s-era Compton, California, we've got a pair of US-centred films this week as our standard term of showings draws to a close, but don't fret, because we have Of Mice and Men and Maze Runner yet to come. The usual reminder: if you plan on coming to more than 3 showings this *year*, then our Discount Pass is worth it! Buy it online and save money on your tickets (£3 instead of £4, first ticket is free, sadly no discount on NT Live performances or the All-Nighter). Just as a reminder, we're open to the public, so if you're thinking of coming and want to bring a friend from another uni (or you're from another uni yourself), please do! Still reading? Do you read these every week? If you do, why not come along and help out with our screenings as a cinema staff member? Just drop in 30-45 minutes before one of our regular showings is due to start and introduce yourself. We're a friendly bunch (at least, I think we are) and we'd love to show you what we're up to. And one last thing... the All-Nighter is coming. Prepare yourselves... It's shaping up to be a good one! - Luke, Cinema Chair 2015-16 |
