Hi, welcome back from the iCU Cinema.  Hope you all had a good summer.

 

This week we’ll be starting your year with two great movies from this summer, The Simpsons Movie and The Transformers.

 

The showings times will be as follows:

 

Sunday 30th October

12.30: The Simpsons Movie

14.30: The Transformers Movie

 

Monday 1st October

19.00: The Transformers Movie

22.00: The Simpsons Movie

 

Prices are as usual £3 for one movie and £5 for both movies on the night.

 

Here’s a little bit more for those of you who haven’t heard of these movies… (although I hope you’ve heard of them… really.. I mean they were huge!)

 

Transformers is a 2007 live action film directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, based on the Transformers franchise. The film stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, who has the coordinates to the location of the Allspark, an object at the center of the war between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. The film also stars Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro, and Hugo Weaving as the voice of Megatron. Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in the 1980s cartoon, reprised the role for the film.

The Simpsons Movie is a 2007 animated comedy film based on the animated television series The Simpsons and directed by David Silverman. The film was produced by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Al Jean, Mike Scully, and Richard Sakai and written by eleven of the television series' most prolific writers: Scully, Jean, Brooks, Groening, George Meyer, David Mirkin, Mike Reiss, John Swartzwelder, Jon Vitti, Ian Maxtone-Graham, and Matt Selman. It stars the regular television cast of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden, and Tress MacNeille and features Albert Brooks in a prominent guest role, as well as Tom Hanks and Green Day in smaller ones.
