Welcome back everyone. During the break we went out and bought ourselves
a brand new projector! Come along and see what we spent £20k of the
Union's money on. So, not only do we have a big screen and top of the
range audio system, we now have a high-end projector better than ones
found in normal cinemas!
The first weeks' film are an interesting pair with a Japanese theme as
we have Lost in Translation and The Last Samurai for your viewing
pleasure. I'm also please to announce that we are planning to show all
three Lord of the Rings films on May 22nd (so look out for more
information).
Lost in Translation
-------------------
Tuesday, 27th April 18:00
Thursday, 29th April 21:15
Bob Harris (played by Bill Murray) is an American film actor, far past
his prime. He visits Tokyo to appear in commercials, and he meets
Charlotte (Scarlett Johannson), the young wife of a visiting
photographer. Bored and weary, Bob and Charlotte make ideal if
improbable traveling companions. Scarlet is looking for "her place in
life," and Bob is tolerating a mediocre stateside marriage. Both
separately and together, they live the experience of the American in
Tokyo. Bob and Charlotte suffer both confusion and hilarity due to the
cultural and language differences between themselves and the Japanese.
As the relationship between Bob and Charlotte deepens, they come to the
realization that their visits to Japan, and one another, must soon end.
Or must they? --imdb

village he is being held hostage in and finds that his true warrior is
becoming unleashed as he trains to become a Samurai with the very people
we once called his enemies. Soon, the Japanese forces begin to search
