Is this a trade name, or are you using the term generically? There are lots of CDROMs which sort of look like an ebook. Most are authored in Macromedia; many are given away free with "real" books. My wife is evaluating two at the moment; Chemistry set 2000, and a general science one, from http://www.new-media.co.uk -- Henry Rzepa. Sorry, I should have been more specific - I was mainly thinking at Microsoft Reader ebooks. The screen of such software/hardware is small and it will be necessary to design/write a book in a different way. Nevertheless it is an interesting medium.
