Since people got into recommending web sites, let me mention that learning how to code in html and else is one thing, but there is more to useful and effective web sites -- paying attention to web design. Many chemistry-related (and not only) web sites could really be more user-friendly (user-considerate if you will). The WebMonkey site, recommended earlier, has some pointers with this regards, so does c-net's site and others, but the foremost place to study the design issues is Jacob Nielsen's AlertBox http://www.useit.com/alertbox/ Robert Brenstein University of Potsdam chemweb: A list for Chemical Applications of the Internet. To post to list: mailto:chemweb@ic.ac.uk Archived as: http://www.lists.ic.ac.uk/hypermail/chemweb/ To (un)subscribe, mailto:majordomo@ic.ac.uk the following message; (un)subscribe chemweb List coordinator, Henry Rzepa (mailto:rzepa@ic.ac.uk)
