As an adjunct to Mark Winter's statistics, our own have recently been revised to give monthly views http://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/server/browser.html One interesting observation is the gradual increase of Windows NT in the OS profile, the decrease of X11 Unix systems and the domination of Win 95 since around August this year. Note also the "hump" in June for PowerPC users. We suspect this is the ECHT96 conference, but need to confirm this. One interesting aspect we will report upon shortly is whether certain "pages" on our site have significantly different profiles from the ones above. Dr Henry Rzepa, Dept. "Humps" are an interesting phenomenon. If you look at http://www.shef.ac.uk/~chem/stats/ there are 2 very clear humps representing 40000 and 60000 surplus html files per week and I've no idea what caused them. It looks like there is a third large hump at the end of November as well but this will only be confirmed when the next bunch of stats comes in. Were there a events, either chemical or network, which could cause this?
