I have a number of structures created in Chemdraw, and would like to include these in my web pages. The program does not offer a .gif extension file type. Could anyone suggest how I might do this please?

Simple solution on a mac is to prepare the structures in chemdraw, copy them and paste into GraphicConverter, a widely available and excellent shareware program, then save as a gif or whatever other format you want.
