I have a simple question. How can I insert an Open Inventor (VRML) file into a HTML document? Your help would be greatly appreciated (I need it by 5 pm tonight...). Thanks,
Have a look at the Live3D Netscape site and see for instance : http://home.netscape.com/eng/live3d/examples/sletext.html
Inserting is by:

I tried to view the recommended netscape example. The image could not be opened by my browser (Netscape 3.0) and I received the following messages, "This page contains information of the type .... that can only be opened by appropriate plug-ins. Do you want plug-in information?" Followed by, "Your plug-in type is x-world/x-vrml. Netscape doesn't have a plug-in released for your operating system. " I have a Mac. Any recommendations? With the browser wars now getting underway, I fear a situation where different browsers will have different capabilities (part of the prevalent "feature-itis" marketing strategies that seem to dominate the software world). If web page developers insist on using the latest and greatest features, they should recognize that they may well be closing off a significant portion of their potential audience. I don't know when, or if, Netscape is going to support VRML for the Mac platform. I don't even want to think about what Microsoft is doing. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Dr. Timothy L.
