Hi,
How about an on-line meeting in the first instance? The ACS poster session was useful. Perhaps an on-line meeting, with "posters" and "talks" (including real audio) would be a good way to get started and to extend the ACS poster concept. It would also help to cement standards for the chemical community world-wide.
I agree. A virtual email/WWW conference would be a good first step, and if enough interest was developed there, we could think about a real meeting later. A main topic for discussion at the virtual meeting could be 'Should we have a real meeting, and if so what shall we talk about?' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr Paul May, School of Chemistry, University of Bristol, UK tel: +44 (0)117 9287667, fax: +44 (0)117 9251295 email: paul.may@bris.ac.uk WWW: http://www.bris.ac.uk/Depts/Chemistry/staff/pwm.htm "Another squashed hedgehog in the gutter of the information superhighway" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- chemweb: A list for Chemical Applications of the Internet.
