Hello, Recently, I am tired - off restarting my computer several times a day - off computer system resource problems, which means it crashes when using emailer, browser and other programs. Yes, I am using Microsoft Windows (98 to be exact). I am ready now for a new adventure - Linux. You find a lot of information about Linux and other software running under Linux. Many of the software is for free and you are allowed to change it (if you are able to) to make it fit your needs. You even find a nice page about chemistry software for Linux. Linux4Chemistry: http://zeus.polsl.gliwice.pl/~nikodem/linux4chemistry.html I think that there might be more chemists who would like to test Linux or who are already firm in using it. Let's join. To make it easier, I founded a forum at egroups with a mailing list: http://www.egroups.com/group/chemlinux Please join this group and/or promote it. We need a "critical mass" before it works well. With my best regards Michael Engel chemweb: A list for Chemical Applications of the Internet.
