Perhaps the RSC would like to comment - they are THE Professional organisation for chemists
Wot no ACS? Have you heard of ChemCenter, Bernard? Funnily enough I was just thinking earlier, on seeing the new Elsevier Kluwer rumours on chminf-l, that ACS, RSC, GDCh et al. should get their acts together. It would pay ACS to be proactive in such a venture instead of adopting the dubious tactics they used in Anaheim to suppress their competitors.

Sorry Wendy & ACS (? American Chemical Soc. ?) - sometimes I forget WWW's scope- I really meant THE Professional organisation for UK chemists. Your reply interests me - could you expand on ChemCenter. Is it a better/more accessible resource than RSC's information & library ? Why ? Maybe RSC members can vote with their feet (or subscription)? I'm very impressed with & use US resources, particularly PubMedline for searches ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/) Your Anaheim reference means nothing to me - can you explain? Maybe the Federaration of European Chemical Societies (FECS) may wish to comment? Bernard ---------------------- Dr. B. Blessington Pharmaceutical Chemistry Dept., Bradford University.
