It appears that the "PDA" generation is finally maturing into a "palmtop" market, with various devices on the market from Apple, US Robotics, HP, and running various types of software. Some of these devices support networking, some only uploads to a "proper" computer, and some can have modems. Does anyone have an example of the application of such devices to chemistry courses, libraries, lab, etc, If so, does it seem whether such devices might have a worthwhile role to play in chemistry, and will provision for their networking need to be thought of?
