The InterNIC has published what purports to be an academic guide to various Internet sites, including a chemistry section. The InterNIC is certainly a reputable organisation, in charge amongst other things, of all domain registrations! I use the word purports because I received the famous "congratulations, your site has been chosen" message, and I normally ask myself "by whom" when I receive these things. Apparently, "Compiled by Internet experts with specialized skills in library science, web design, and designing services for the research and academic community, the Guide delivers a focused, no-nonsense resource". I note it has probably not been compiled by chemists. Still, for what its worth, its on http://www.internic.net/aldea/attframes2.html and the chemistry bit is on http://ds.internic.net/aldea/chemud.html along with a questionaire about each site which readers can fill in.
