According to ISI, the following list gives the 50 most cited chemists;

Interesting that the top 10 includes many computational chemists, and that crystallographers feature highly. It is claimed that this list almost certainly includes the names of 6-10 Nobel laureates-to-be!
Who care about Nobel Laureates-to-be except the Laureates-to-be ? The non-Laureates-to-be are more numerous and ISI has understood that the 627.871 Chemists would like to know if at least they are among the 10858 which were cited 500 times or more and at which rank they are. The very intelligent ISI analysts have fixed the cost of this information at 1000 US $...... Are we 1000 Chemists in this list ? I can send 1 $ :-).
