but it is not even clear if this is available to us in the UK. But Perhaps Wendy could clarify?

I can't. How embarrassing!
Oh well! I guess that it isn't available over here (yet?) otherwise we would have heard some noise from the ACS by now.
I do know that in Anaheim it was reported that there had been a "stampede to use" SciFinder Scholar and a very long list of US universities was displayed. Can someone at CAS please advise?
The chminf-l list (archived here ---> http://listserv.indiana.edu/archives/chminf-l.html ) had various messages posted over the last few weeks saying how wonderful this product is, that many US institutes are taking out multiple user subscriptions, and that some are looking at restricting the time that indiviuals can use it as it is such a high-demand resource. I hoped that CAS would have mentioned at Anaheim, any plans they had for making scifinder scholar available in the EU. From what Wendy said, it seems they didn't. Does this mean that they have no plans to release it over here? Michael. -- *------------------------------------------------------------* | Michael H.
