Well, off the top of my head, there are advantages and disadvantages to electronic articles. The advantage comes for the ability to incorporate things like graphics, animation, links, etc. into the article itself - improving the presentation and "coherence" of the material. The real disadvantage, though, is that it requires me to be sitting at my workstation/PC to read it. With paper copies, or a paper journal, I can read it when and where I wish... It's also real hard to make notes on the electronic version. As long as one must be leashed to their system to "interact" with the articles, paper versions will be preferred... I don't think this is a generational issue, and I KNOW it's not a "fear of xxx" issue - merely one of convenience and utility.
